Kirt Curtis/Linda Langenberg

We've had several seminars with Kirt and Linda over the years.  This page shows only a couple of examples.

Siberian Tiger

Pictured above is the theme of the Kirt Curtis/Linda Langenberg seminar held in August 2002.

The tiger is a Linda Langenberg original of a beautifully carved and painted Siberian tiger as pictured on the May-June 2001 Chip Chats magazine cover.

Kirt and Linda came down from Iowa and taught the club a five day seminar in three days.  I think we were all worn out by late Sunday afternoon but we all sure came out with some real nice carvings.  It's always fun having Kirt and Linda.

Group painting with Linda on the tiger.

Dave Thomas's finished tiger from the class.

Sylvia woodburning the fur into the tiger. This was a long process but fun. Most of us had to take the tiger home and finish the burning. Imagine that! Homework from a woodcarving seminar!

More of Davie working on his tiger.

Davie Griffith wood burns the stripes in his tiger carved out of butternut.  Davie opted for the natural wood look instead of painting with colors.  It turned out real nice and was the envy of the class.

Charging Buffalo

This was a fun filled three day class with a good group of folks.
