Mike Hartzler, Corn Belt Carving Club president congratulates Richard Bryne on his awards during the third annual “Sculptures in Wood” woodcarving show and contest.
Richard cleaned up with the first place peoples choice and carvers choice awards with a carving of a large replica of a special delivery 10 cent stamp. Richard does museum quality work and never carves a stamp until he collects it first. Richard is a retired postal supervisor and an expert stamp collector as well as avid carver.

The show was a great success. Participants in our show included many carvers who traveled from far and wide as well as a great number of our own club members.
