2010 Show

The Corn Belt Carving Club of McLean County Illinois held the 10th annual Sculptures in Wood Carving Show and Sale at Illinois Wesleyan University’s Shirk Center in Bloomington, Illinois. This years show was dedicated to Jim Ego a founding member who recently passed.  Jim is pictured in the center below, between club president, Mike Hartzler, left, and founding member and long time past president, Bob Deibert.  Jim will be sadly missed as he was an extremely active and dedicated club member as well as a gentleman and wonderful family man.

The Corn Belt Carving Club has been hosting the show to promote the art and beauty of woodcarving to the general public and other woodworkers. The club also teaches a beginners woodcarving class in association with the Bloomington Parks and Recreation Department, as well as teaching woodcarving to scouts, school groups, and clubs.

Tim Rundall of the Woodchip Shop and wood vendor, Rod Wilcox were there selling a variety of woodcarving products and tools.
