John demonstrates scroll sawing at our 2003 show on his Eclipse. John has been scroll sawing since 1999 and purchased this saw in 2000.

John has been a club member since 2001.  John does mostly scroll saw work including intarsia.  John does great work with his scroll saw and we hope to expand his talents into more carving as time allows.

OK, so here's where John has expanded his talent's into carving (more)... what a great Santa!

This is a nice scroll piece that John donated to the raffle for the 2003 club show.  It is a theme based on America the Beautiful.

"Tuna Central" Sign - one of a pair John created for the guy that painted his house.  The carp is carved from basswood and the sign is made from aromatic cedar.

Fantasy Horse - The design is cut from maple and mounted on a Plexiglas mirror background.

Hand - carved from a piece of 2"x4" for the "Helping Hand" award where he works.

Intarsia Yellow Lab - made from yellowheart, purpleheart, and walnut.

Basketball Ornament - made from Finnish birch plywood.  John cut one of these for each member of the winning team.

Victorian Box - cut from oak.  There are over 120 inside cuts in this piece.

Intarsia Walleye - made from walnut, poplar, and sassafras; about 36" long.
